SAUBER WILL TRY DIFFERENT THINGS AT IMOLA

Guanyu Zhou's race in Australia was notable for having to start from pitlane because the new front wing failed. Since there was no replacement for the Chinese driver, engineers were forced to install a different wing configuration, an old solution, which earned the team a penalty.

Sauber's technical director, James Key, has realized the need for a radical change in order for the team to rise again. Therefore, a "B vehicle" is being designed.

Speaking at the vehicle launch in London, the British engineer stated that the new vehicle was not actually his own design. The C44 was designed before he joined the Swiss team, so it's no surprise that the project underwent significant revisions.

The aim is, if all goes to plan, to enter the Emilia Romagna GP in Imola on May 19 with a significantly revised car.

According to rumors, this new car will be a copy of the RB20 and will adopt Red Bull's solutions.

This vehicle will be shaped by intensive wind tunnel studies and will be a decisive step for the future.
